“Tycoon in Schools” is a nationwide competition in entrepreneurship led by Dragon’s Den star Peter Jones CBE. Today, the project “Funnelling 4 fuel” was announced as the winner of this year’s competition. The idea with the project – initiated by students at Avonbourne College in Bournemouth – is to collect used cooking oil and convert it into biodiesel, which will run college buses. The young entrepreneurs have used EkoFunnels in order to facilitate the collection – hence the name of the project “Funnelling 5 fuel”. The awards ceremony was hosted by the Duke of York at the Buckingham Palace.
