AzzeroCO2 is an Italian Energy Service Company focused on the promotion of renewable energy sources. AzzeroCO2 is currently using the Ekofunnel in two of its projects that deal with used cooking oil:
– The RECOIL project (www.recoveringoil.eu) is co-financed by the European Commission and aims to create, test and optimize the supply chain in the collection of used vegetable oil, in order to prevent it from harming the the environment and to exploit its great energy potential. The first optimized supply chain will be realized together with public information campaigns and specific training courses for municipal technicians.
– The Recall campaign (www.campagnarecall.it) is co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Environment and promotes the collection of agricultural biomass waste and its conversion into green products, to be sold in the market or to be used as fuel in a CHP plant for renewable energy production. The recovery of this kind of waste (vegetable oil, urban trimming, forest maintenance, agricultural or zoo-technical waste) is a measure to achieve the EU Commission 2020 targets.
